How to play Krillion Unlimited
Each round shows a prompt such as "Name a type of cheese". Type any answer that fits and press Enter. Cheddar is correct, but everyone says Cheddar, so it is worth 10. Manchego is worth more; Cabrales more still. Every prompt hides one One in a Krillion answer worth 100. Your seven rounds add up to a depth in metres — reach the twilight zone, the midnight zone, the abyss, or touch the hadal trench.
You get 3 seconds to read each prompt and 25 seconds to answer. Wrong guesses cost nothing, so keep typing; the first accepted answer ends the round. If the clock runs out you can flip up to three hints on a 60-point answer, each buying 15 more seconds at a price. Why the obvious Krillion answer scores least
In a normal quiz the question is hard and there is one right answer. Here the question is easy — name a fruit — and the skill is in choosing an answer other people won't. That makes it a game about how memory works: the first word that surfaces is the one that surfaces for everyone, so the trick is to skip your first thought, go one step past the famous names, and look in the region the prompt didn't point at. Spain, not France, for cheese. The supporting character, not the lead. You don't need to know more than other players; you need to notice what they'll say and say something else.

Daily, endless or categories: which Krillion mode to play
The daily dive on this page is the same seven prompts for everyone, once a day, and it is the only mode that counts towards your streak and stats. Endless draws a fresh dive from a separate book of 240 every time you press play — practice without waiting for midnight, and the games are numbered so you can race a friend on the same one. Category dives give you seven prompts on a single subject, which is the fastest way to find the weak spot that keeps costing you a round. The archive replays any past day, with that day's answers published.

Where the Krillion puzzles come from
Krillion Unlimited runs on two books written for this site and its iOS app: 270 daily dives and 240 unlimited dives, 3,570 prompts, with answer banks that are drafted with a language model, checked mechanically (one One-in-a-Krillion per prompt, no duplicates after normalisation, a country's capital never below Schooler) and then read by a person. The original game ranks answers by what its own players typed; we don't have that data, so our rarity tiers are editorial estimates, and we say so. How it's done, and who does it, is on the about page.

What is Krillion Unlimited?
Krillion Unlimited is a free rare-answer trivia game. Each dive is seven open prompts like "name a country in South America". Any correct answer counts, but the rarer your answer, the more points you score and the deeper you sink. There is a new daily dive, unlimited dives, category practice and a playable archive of every past day.
Is this the official Krillion game?
No. The original Krillion is the daily game at krillion.io, where the archive and unlimited play are paid. Krillion Unlimited is an independent fan-made site with its own prompts and answer banks, free to play.
How are answers scored?
Every accepted answer has a rarity tier: Plankton 10, Schooler 30, Rare 60, Deep Cut 85, and one One-in-a-Krillion answer worth 100. Seven prompts, so a perfect dive is 700 points, and every point is ten metres of depth.
What happens when the timer runs out?
You are offered a rescue: flip up to three hints on one 60-point answer for 15 more seconds each. Hints cost 10%, 25% or 45% of the round's points. Or surface empty and take a zero.
Do I need an account?
No account, no download, no sign-in. Progress, streak and stats are saved in your browser.
What is a One in a Krillion answer?
The single rarest accepted answer for each prompt, worth 100 points. Every prompt has exactly one, and it usually comes with a short fact explaining why it belongs. Yesterday's seven are listed further down this page.
Can I play past days?
Yes. Every daily dive since day one is in the archive, free and fully playable, with its answers published once the day is over.
Is this the same as the Krillion app?
Krillion Unlimited and the Krillion iOS app by the same maker share the same puzzle books, so a dive is identical on both. Neither is affiliated with the original krillion.io.
