Krillion Endless: one prompt after another, as deep as your air lasts

How endless mode works

Endless is Krillion without a finish line. Each prompt gives you 25 seconds and one answer, scored exactly like the daily — Plankton 10, Schooler 30, Rare 60, Deep Cut 85, One in a Krillion 100 — and every point is ten metres of depth. Answer, sink, next prompt. There is no round seven; the dive only ends when the clock runs out and you have no air left.

Air: three tanks, spent on hints

You start every run with three tanks of air. When a prompt beats you, you can burn one tank for a hint on a 60-point answer and fifteen more seconds, up to three hints on the same prompt. Land a One in a Krillion and a tank comes back. Manage air well and a run can go past any real trench; your best depth is kept on this device and shown before each run.

Why it never repeats

Prompts come from a separate endless book of 1,680 — none of them appear in the daily book, so practising here never spoils tomorrow. Your position in the book is remembered in your browser, and the next run carries on from where the last one stopped; once the endless book is used up, the already-published past dailies follow. At roughly thirty seconds a prompt, that is well over a day of play before anything comes round again.

How players use it

Most people who open endless mode have just finished the daily and want to try the strategy they only thought of afterwards: skip the first answer that surfaces, aim one step past the famous names. Some use it to drill a weak category before tomorrow — for that, the category dives are even more focused. The daily dive is still the one that counts for your streak.
