About the geography dive

Krillion's geography prompts are open questions with many right answers — the skill is in choosing the one fewer people would say. This page pulls seven geography prompts from our books of 510 dives (510 geography prompts in total) and lets you dive them back to back. Results don't touch your daily streak.

What "rare" means in geography

Geography prompts are the most answerable and the least rewarding if you stop at the obvious: everyone says France, Brazil, Tokyo. The 85-point answers live one step out — the second city, the smaller neighbour, the river that isn't the Nile. Our banks put a hard rule here: a country's own capital can never sit below Schooler, so you can't lose points for knowing basic facts.
